The performance Bind, Unravel, Place explores the interaction between performers, objects, and space. Four performers, dressed in neutral tones, enter a room where four textile objects lie in a row on the ground, surrounded by binding materials at the corners: zip ties, straps, ropes, and buckles. The setting creates a structured yet open framework for ritualistic engagement. The performers lie on the floor around the objects, eyes closed, adapting to their lifeless presence.

One by one, they awaken, approach an object, and bind it to their body using a chosen material. This intimate act brings the object to life, transforming it through movement and interaction. Afterward, the performer unbinds the object and installs it in the room using the binding material, leaving the space one by one. Themes of proximity and distance emerge as objects are first closely bound to the body, then detached and reinstalled. The performance questions agency: do the performers animate the objects, or do the objects shape the performers? The installation left behind becomes a testament to these interactions, reflecting on the traces of human action, transformation, and the tension between presence and absence.
